About Us

In March 2020, our world fell apart when we lost our gorgeous Krysten to suicide.

Family and friends were devastated, and a huge void still remains.

My name is Leanne and I’m Krysten’s Mumma –
rocked to my core I’ve had to dig so deep to find the new normal in my life.

In my healing journey, I discovered “finding meaning”
is a way to ensure her memory is kept alive forever.

I set about working out how to do this…
after lots of stop/starts…
with encouragement from many, and
the occasional spurts of clarity brought me to creating the
“Krysten Jean Telford Foundation” .

The “Krysten Jean Telford Foundation” is a not-for-profit private foundation. Its primary purpose is to fund and operate projects that fit with the essence of what Krysten would want… enhancing the knowledge and understanding of those suffering from mental health challenges.

Krysten’s Peace Project will support mental health awareness within the community from the net proceeds of items sold on this website.

Courtside Rebals” is a label Krysten wanted to create. This has been launched with 6 of her drawings (on T-Shirts), using notes I found in her many journals.

Sales of her label will keep the foundation growing. The foundation is also looking for creative people to supply their goods to sell.

Examples include…
Providing youth training through “Talk Out Loud”.
Talk Out Loud runs camps for youth in mental health awareness… teaching them skills to help them survive this crazy world.

Supporting the Northern Domestic Violence Service. This service helps women and children escape the domestic violence cycle.

Supporting Brain Cancer Research… in honour of Krysten’s Aunty ‘Big’ Bronwyn who lost her battle with brain cancer 2-days after Krysten left us.

These are a few examples of “finding meaning” to ensure Krysten’s memory is kept alive… I think you get the picture!

I can’t bring my girl back… yet, I can make sure she’s never forgotten and IS making a difference in many people’s lives.

Every sale is another hammer swing to smashing the stigma around Mental Health judgement…

Thanks a million for supporting us.

Please, keep in touch.
Like to share a story, or have an idea… I’d love to hear from you.
